Deal still has a pier but it does not have all that nice fancy cast iron work/mouldings etc. You used to be able to get a cuppa on the end, I used to fish there a lot before moving to Sheppey. I have just woken up to the fact that old fashioned Kent piers are no more..thats a crying shame.
