I have been going through a box of important papers of my mother`s and come across a receipt for the purchase of a house by my G grandfather of a property in Shakespeare Road in 1904 for the sum of 250.00s.00d, the house remained within the family untill 1974.

The house number also showed up as being formerly number 25, so the numbers of the properties had changed.

Chatting with my cousin today and she mentioned that during the war that house was bombed, is there any way that we can find out about this, the family went to stay with relations in Birmingham. Then returned to the home after the war.

The bomb appeared to come down on the junction with Rock Avenue and Shakespeare Road.
