Found this for sale, I can't see a date as to when it was offered for sale, but surely it belongs in an Island museum somewhere.

Well spotted.

I totally agree with you. It should be safely in one of the county archives.

While my family lived in Eastchurch at the time, my great, great grandfather lived in Mud Row. They may be mentioned as Warden would have been a closer church for them to use.

Yesterday I decided I would buy the book. Transcribe it and then permanently loan it to the archives.

This morning I went to buy it only to discover it had been sold this weekend.

If the purchaser ever comes across this thread I would be very interested to know if there are any references to the surname Pott.
