Title: A boat trip from Oare Creek to Faversham Creek and back
Post by: Ted Ingham on April 23, 2016, 12:24:22
After a long winter layup it was time to check out all the new wiring systems and the engine. Intending to go around to Conyer and back the persisting Force 6 North Easterly breezes would have made it too uncomfortable for trials with the wind over tide situation. I do comfort nowadays, must be an age thing.
Faversham was the alternative being in the lee.
Interesting run with Thames barge activity on both creeks preparing for the Summer season.
Brought back fond memories of Pollocks Shipyard and watching the renowned "Sideways Launch".
All systems checked out OK and the good old BMC 1.5 ran sweet.
Now looking forward to the Summer and exploring the Thames and Medway.

Thank you JW. It has been an interesting project over the years. Just amazes me when you look back at the early videos how much has disappeared from the shoreline.
