If ever anyone's over the water in NL, I can recommend the "Neeltje Jans" visitor centre out on their massive sea defences - a very good reconstruction of the terrible events of that storm surge, and the resulting long-term plan for the North Sea Works sea defences.

Chris. Afraid I'm not likely to go to NL, altho' I would love to see that exhibition. But I would imagine that their experience of 31st Jan. 1953 (day I got married in Bearsted church) is even worse than ours was&,& ours was pretty horrendous, for so much of their country has been reclaimed from the sea.
