Title: Major-General Sir Herbert Mullaly K.C.M.G. , C.B. , C.S.I. (1860-1932)

I am looking for information on my great-great Grandfather: Major-General Sir Herbert Mullaly KCMG CB CSI late RE.

On the outbreak of the Great War he was in England on half pay.
He was urged by his old friend and chief, Lord Kitchener, whose
belief in the danger of invasion is a matter of common knowledge,
to accept the post of Commander of the East Coast Defences.
He threw himself with his characteristic energy into the task of
organizing the East Coast Defences and training the large number
of troops in his area.
