Nobody has mentioned The Dewdrop in Twydall?

Used to use that in the mid 60's.

There is a nice photograph for sale on ebay at the moment of the Edward 1 pub, Upchurch that I have not seen.

I will post a link rather than breaking any copyright rules, in case a member would like to buy it.

The Edward 1 public house was where the Upchurch Co-op is today, Oak Lane, Upchurch.

Dave The Train, I think, if I remember correctly, Breach Lane and Breach itself used to be Upchurch before borders were redrawn.

What about the Three Sisters and the Sun in the Wall,at Upchurch

Should that be the Sun in the Wood, Lower Halstow, Grandarog?  Its a private house/art studio IIRC.  Or was there another one?

Not sure if this thread is still viable but I believe there was a pub called the Black Horse in Upchurch, opposite the recreation ground.

May have read yuor intro incorrectly but The Crown and the Brown Jug upchruch, unless you have listed former names I was unaware of.
Dave

The only two survivers in Upchurch I believe. There was also Edward First Tavern in 1901 next to the rectory (handy?). I don't know if this was a rename of one of Leofwine's although Edward seventh was on the throne then.

Thanks. I was thinking there were more in Upchurch, but my mind had gone blank!  And I'd not heard of the Edward First at all.

Hastings Arms and The Mulberry Tree (long gone as a pub, see link), Lower Rainham Road.

I had those two on the Gillingham list, but the boundaries around there are hazy.
