Cllr W. H. Carroll (in the back row) was in charge of the Settle Speakman coal handling and screening operation at Queenborough Wharf, Rushenden, by the way.

Thanks for posting this info.  It's particularly good to see a photo of E.W. Jaffray, who was involved with much of the industrial development in the Rushenden area in the earlier part of the 20th century.  And, of course, his daughter.

Thank you it's very similar to the one I have, but  have been told mine is silver. I took it into an independent jeweller this morning.

I think I have put this in the correct thread..rather than Queenborough castle..please move if wrong.SB.

A medal that I presume was given to the children of Queenborough by the Mayor of the time at the earlier Coronation in 1911. The castle picture is the same as is on the seal in the booklet, although slightly modified as the seal proper could possibly not be used in its exact form for this purpose!.
