I can't help with the ice cream man, but the vehicle is a Reliant Regent. There's some photos here including one in 'Sheps' livery

  Can anyone remember the ice cream man who sold from a green van similar to this, don't know how far he travelled but he did the White Rd Estate in the early 50s. Can't recall if his seat swung round to serve customers, but memory's telling me his wife may have served from a sitting position.
