Apparently until 1939 the the Old Pharosians Association Annual Dinner was held at the Grand Hotel, overlooking the Granville Gardens, or at Farley Woodhams in King Street.

Excerpt from The Pharos, No. 74. DECEMBER, 1933. VOL. XXIII.

"Thirty of the Old Boys and Staff gathered at the Annual
Dinner on 18th November. The event took place at Messrs.
Farley, Woodhams and Co.'s cafe in Bench Street. The catering.
was most satisfactory, the musical programme was excellent,
and here again only lack of numbers prevented the occasion
from being more than usually successful."

From Hansard, December 1, 1947.

Milk Distribution, Dover

Mr. Baker White asked the Minister of Food on what grounds Mr. Sidney B. Turnpenny, of Deepdene, 14 Park Avenue, Dover, was refused permission to change his milkman seeing that the firm from whom he received his milk, Messrs. Fasley Woodhams and Co., have been purchased by a co-operative society.

Mr. Strachey: The Dover Co-operative Society have acquired a financial interest in Farley Woodhams and Co. Ltd., but the Company has not been wound up. There has been no change in trading methods, the customers of the company have not become members of the cooperative society and no dividend is paid on purchases. I do not think these circumstances justify a change of retailers.
