I can remember that some milkmen used to put the bottles behind the bar. I thought that they were a clever idea to stop having bottles in the middle of the path. Never too old to learn..... S4.

If You look hard enough some of the old posh houses have Torch Holders above the gate aswell.
Maybe it's big horse I'm a Londoner. :{

Thanks for that. I am 46 and never realised that they were foot scrapers, back of the class again. Thanks for sorting the thread out Kyn. This could run for a while. Sentinel S4.

I saw these while I was walking to school.
These were used to scrape your feet when they were muddy.

This one is at my school.


These ones are on peoples houses.
Some have been covered up and some have been taken off.
