The other side of the gate (a bit overgrown at the moment). The building on the left was possibly a guardroom.

This was the main road into the Fort, which was used to access Chatham Dockyard and Brompton area from Chatham.  There was a wish to open these gates and allow public access through to Chatham Gate and onto Dock Road, but this area is used by the Fort for our workshop area.
