This isn't the old railway tunnel into the cliffs, but underneath the road down to Marina Esplanade are some arches - you can see them at the bottom of this page:

Does anyone know what they are or were?

I know the page is a bit rough - I'm tidying it up and adding new photos soon.  The black and white restaurant was being torn down when I last visited, so I have some photos of that to go in.  It's a bit sad thinking back to how it was when I was small, with the amusement park that I never realised was a railway station!
