From local newspaper.

In the dockyard the workmen in the yard will commence today (Saturday) to work up the time for the Monday proceeding Xmas day so that the yard may be closed from Saturday until Wednesday, there being a standing Admiralty order that any holiday falling on the Tuesday or the Monday is to be worked up so that there shall be no trouble or expense in lighting the furnaces in the yard for one day.
