Going by maps, it seems to have been built sometime between 1844 and 1866?

I'm sure I went to playschool/nursery in that building, the later extension had a sports hall/gymnasium inside. There was a fire in the old part of the building in about 1989 which meant the playschool was moved permanently into the sports hall while the repairs were carried out- unless this was when it was demolished and rebuilt?

Sorry, I meant to say that the modern extension was on the right of the entrance to the old vicarage.

Yes Ann, it was part of the youth club when I went there in the seventies. It was the main entrance into the building, and had a large modern extension to the left.
I didn`t know it had gone, (I don`t live in Strood anymore). Shame, another nice old Strood building lost!

I think this may have been down Strood Hill, near the youth club. Any ideas anyone?
