News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

Interesting one, I'd not come across this one before. As far as the paper is concerned the C3433 picture code makes me think it is likely to be the Chatham News.

I seem to recall that this was in the early 1960's, and it was on Service no 1 from Maidstone.

Bus Crash in Brompton

Apologies if these photo's or incident appears elsewhere in the Forum, but I couldnt find any previous. It is not the same crash, but it happened on the same (opposite) corner with an identical vehicle and I thought would therefore be of interest.

The pictures are from a press cutting, but I am unable to attribute them to the newspaper concerned. I hope this does not contravene any protocol re-photo's, and I hope they come through OK.
