Barrage Balloons in Medway
Was quite shocked to discover this on another thread.

During WWII there were no barrage balloons in the Medway area before the 1944 V1 attacks.

There were balloons in London of course. Balloons in Dover, which were straffed almost daily by the by the Lutfwaffe in the Battle of Britain. Naval bases all over Wales and western Scotland had them, but none in Medway. Nil over the Dockyard, Nil over the airport where Stirling bombers were made, and nil on the esplanade where Sunderland flying boats were made. Nil over the estuary where part of the fleet was moored.

Can I write to my MP and complain retrospectively ?  :)
"there was more hit than miss about this arbitrary bombardment"
