Wow, lovely to see very recent photo's of the place.

This was myself and my family and friends sat in the "champ" outside the North Wing Owletts back in 1978/79 (this was the porch/front entrance to the house/ North Wing).

I must go back there one day and have a look around.

Also, the other photo is of the North Wing, having the roof worked on in the summer of 79 (my bedroom window was the one at the very top of the roof).

A couple of photos I took a few years ago.  Will be interesting to re-visit following renovation.

Owletts is currently closed while restoration is completed and new tenants move in.
They were hoping to open for a few Sundays this Summer but it seems unlikely now. Website says reopening next year.

I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about the National Trust House in Cobham.

As I am keen to find out about the history of the old well that was in our garden, please see the photo

I was told it was the deepest well in the country, but I was only a child at the time, and forever fearful of falling down it ever since
