Hi

I've got Defending Britain (Twentieth - Century Military Structures In The Landscape) by Mike Osborne ISBN 0-7524-3134-X.

Its a nea book and gives examples of many of the military structures built during the last century,  and theres a handy gazeteer giving examples of where many can be found

I've got the Mike Osbourne Pillbox one.
It's a great book  :)
The first section is about Pillbox origins from Blockhouses and Caponiers etc,and it's got some examples from around Europe.

Got a couple of Mike Osbourne books for xmas.

Defending Britain, Twentieth-Century Military Structures in the Landcaspe ISBN 0-7524-3134-X
Pillboxes of Britain and Ireland ISBN 978-0-7524-4329-4

Haven't read them cover to cover but flicking through they are very interesting and informative.
The pillbox one as every possible type and variation with a plan and details.
