The index threads are purely indexes, not general threads for pubs. If you have information on a specific pub it should be added to that pub's thread, or if there is not already one for it, a new thread should be started.

If you do start a new thread it helps us to keep the indexes up to date if you post a link to it in the index thread.

I remember the Station Hotel as a convenient stop on my way to or from work as a railway goods guard based at Faversham.

My parents kept the Rose Inn at Sturry in the 1970's. When they retired Whitbread decided to close it as they had 3 pubs within a small area.

I'm hoping this will help when trying to find information on specific Canterbury pubs.  I'm trying to build a list of all the pubs that have their own thread.  Hopefully this will make it easier than trying to trawl through (at time of posting) about 500 different thread titles to see if a particular pub has been covered! If you start a thread on a new Canterbury pub, please add a link to it here.  Every so often I will try to update this post to add the new threads in. With luck this might not only make it easier to find the thread on a particular pub, but maybe help prevent duplication of threads too.
