Carlton Cafe, Chatham High Street

Does anyone have any memories of the Carlton Cafe? It features a couple of times in my family history. I have a photograph of my grandmother in her waitress uniform taken in 1929 (see below), also her brother (my great uncle) had his wedding reception there in 1943. I have found an image from the Couchman Collection on CityArk (c1926) which shows it opposite the Sun Hotel and next to Murdoch & Co. I believe it is now the 'Best Network Recruitment Agency' - see the Google map image below.

The frontage doesn't look that big, but as it catered for a wedding reception (albeit in wartime), was it much larger inside, extending back along way, or was the upstairs used? I haven't been able to find out when it closed.
