A friend of mine used to live in The Terrace almost opposite his place and you can see his low surgery next to the house.

I have found a number of websites still listed long after they are no longer 'live'.  My old doctor is still listed one year on.  Perhaps the websites have to be removed by the person who put them on?

I deciced to call the number on the website and it is the Number Unobtainable tone.   It does seem odd that it is listed on websites!

Yet the website that I found (Reply#12) is still active and related to day and time, so it looks as if it was never cancelled when the surgery closed. However, it shows that Dr Gee was there at least until the advent of common websites when was that?

Was there a Dr Erskine Grey who had a surgery there, in the 50's and 60's.

A bit of a character, usually wearing a bow tie.

I can't remember when he stopped practising, but the building was boarded up for a good few years. Now private dwellings.

There is a Dr Sidney Gee there now, but must be a later generation relative.

Is Dr Gee still practising?  I drove by his surgery the other day and the sign still seemed to be there, but, by my reckoning he must be in his nineties by now!  Does anyone know?

Funny, when I dug around the internet, it says he won 100,000 damages rather than the 1million I recalled.  Perhaps the legal fees increased the amount "reported"?

Hi all,
Dr Gee was reputed to have a practice in Harley Street. A story I was told, there is no proof of its veracity, was as follows:- A patient who was somewhat of a hypochondriac  demanded a second opinion, so Dr Gee arranged a consultation with a Harley Street specialist.
The man was very impressed and duly arrived for his appointment, on entering the consulting room he found Dr Gee waiting, the Dr repeated his diagnosis, then charged him a fee.
