you will see a photo I posted a while back, which I think is the same one.....but if you go further up on that thread, there is a photochrome photo of the original one which was set back and further up.

The Broadstairs bandstand in the picture was newly built in the 1950s, it also had an upper level for many years, this was demolished possibly in the 1980s.
An earlier bandstand was on top of the large shelter in front of Chandos Square. In 1887 a new bandstand was erected between the shelter and the cliffs edge, the site is now set out with flower beds with the centre being the site of the bandstand.

Having read on the link about the Broadstairs underground railway it appears it was moved to its present position when the railway was built.

I think this was moved from its original location at some stage as I have seen photos of it set further back and raised to the street level above.
