Here's a few of my pics from Sunday. A bit late I know but I've had PC problems too!

Ha ha :)

You are right, I can't!  And I know the work we do there is important and enjoyable.  Plus, we get nice cakes :)

Merc, I didn't confirm.  I wanted to sleep instead :)
:) :) Well it was Sunday... but you know you can't keep away from the place, Kyn :)

If it was those goats that have been at my computer, I might make goat sandwiches next time!!! :)

It definitely was for xaphan, a group of strangers and a lot of hard work!

Merc, I hope you sort your pc out.  Your really should stop inviting the goats round, they are only after your sandwiches!

Another hard but fun work day :)

Nice to meet you on the work day, new member...seems like a nice chap :)

We again cleared quite a bit, including the boulders/blocks. It does seems like an endless task at times though, but I'm sure we'll get there in the end :)

Can I just point out I was the only one who was 'Confirmed' to be there (on the forum mod thingy) ha ha

P.S. I'm having a few computer probs at the moment so possibly wont be on a lot...think I've got some mud in my computer or something...

:)  It is a busy time for most of us, so don't worry too much.  I hope your other project is going well!

If you don't make the next one I hope we will see you in the New Year :)

We have a new member of the team joining us this week :)

Stewie..... are you avoiding us :)

Please accept my apologies for my continued absence, I am involved in another restoration project which this year has been quite demanding on time so limiting my options for digging out Napoleonic forts. Then got involved in some domestic renewals and now it is the run in to the festive season so weekends are filling up with stuff!
I notice that you have a planned date inbetween Christmas and New Year so will see how my diary looks then, may be able to burn off some turkey!

 :)

I do hope you told the 'new member' about the initiation ceremony he'll have to go through before he's accepted by the rest of us?  :)

No-one said anything to me ;)

When we finished last month our staircase looked like this:

So we carried on again today!

The plan was to clear around the boulder to see exactly what we were dealing with

It turned out that beside the huge one was a smaller one that was ridiculously heavy and awkward!

But eventually it came out!

Annoyingly we found another large one which had to be removed.  By the end of the day we were all worn out, but another great day and a lot of progress made again!

Huge thanks to our wonderful volunteers who yet again came out and worked really hard.  We are getting there, I can't wait to see this staircase totally clear :)
