I would be happy to spend my days drawing 'Locks' ... each has something uniquely wonderful about them

Town Lock - Tonbridge

Originally built in the 1740's using stone from nearby Tonbridge Castle and timber from the woodlands around Penshurst; Tonbridge Town Lock is the highest up-river on the Medway and from here to Leigh Barrier is the last navigable stretch of the river:
