News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

We had nearly 30 volunteers from the Medway Youth Trust today, all 16 and 17 year olds.  Due to the weather they had to work undercover today but they really made a huge difference.  Everyone worked so hard and we now have some very lovely areas to use.

The magazine has been cleaned up and so has the entrance to the left hand tunnel.

Please come along and join us on the next work day.  We work from 10am until 4pm (you can leave when you want!).  Next week we will be concentrating on clearing the "picnic" area, tidying the front of the fort, and clearing old paint from the walls of the left tunnel, magazine and casemate 2.

We have tea and biscuits :)
