News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

There was only a handfull of us there today but we still got a lot done :)

More land by the entrance to the fort was cleaned up and also work continued on clearing the drainage above the casemates.

Our next work day is on the 29th November, 10-4pm.

Work involved will be clearing the front of the fort, scraping old paint from the casemates and tunnel and general clearance work around the site.

Sorry for the late notice!

Can you let me know asap if you can attend :)
