News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

Thanks for your help today, we had quite a productive day although the numbers were quite low.  If you drive past the fort look out for our sign, it was given a lick of paint today so stands out well :)

As I've missed a few weeks - If I can free up some time and my feet aren't still playing me up too badly I'll try and make it  :)

Fort Luton work Day 06.12.14
« Reply #1 on: December 02, 2014, 18:56:33 »
Our next work day is Saturday.  We work from 10am until 4pm.  Please come along and join us, we are trying really hard to make the Fort a usable space for functions, hirings, and history events/tours.  We can't get the fort open to the public again without some lovely people sharing their time with us.

Our xmas meet will be the first official hiring and we are looking forward to having a group visit us one evening next year.  But we still have lots to do to make the rest of the fort somewhere people can have fun!
