Thankyou DS239. Any idea of what the folly was?

The Roundhouse and Stewart's Folly are two separate places.

The Roundhouse is next to the Worth footpath whilst Stewart's Folly is a little to the west along the track that leads to the A258 where the greenhouses are shown on the current OS maps.

Thankyou Martin A. I've looked at my own O.S. maps and while it's shown on one from the 1960s, later maps do not show this place. I'm not able to recall any odd buildings standing out in the area.

Having looked at google satellite map of the area and other old maps showing "Stewart's Folly", it would seem to be in the location of what is now called "The Round House".
This would suggest a change of name for what may have been an unusual building.

While looking at an old O.S map on a website about the E.K.L.Railway,I saw a place called 'Stewart's Folly' on or near the marsh between Sandwich and Worth. I've walked the nearby footpath several times over the years but can't recall seeing any old buildings nearby. I've searched the Forum and Google without getting any information. Anyone know anything about it?
