News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

In the 1980s the pop group Squeeze filmed one of their videos for a song, that I cannot remember the title of, on and around the mirrors.

Glad I asked the question now. Nice map and I didn't realise from the initial site that they were always flat as opposed to keeled over due to age. Thanks conan :-)

Having had a peruse of the link below I came across a page devoted to a dual line of sound mirrors erected across Romney Marsh which shows one image of one in someones garden at Snave. Does anyone have any other information about these?
