The Lynsted Society World War 1 Centenary Project
« Reply #1 on: January 04, 2016, 22:10:52 »
This is an excellent project, with the society detailing, month by month, the events of one hundred years ago.

As the Centenary unfolds, a range of newspaper and other records will appear here to give a idea of how the war was revealed on the Home Front, primarily focused on Kent for our purposes ....fairly random.

Also click on Projects, scroll down to 6, and you will find links to the Roll of Honour for Kingsdown and Creekside Parishes, as well as pages on:- the eviction of rural wives of soldiers, school children working on farms, women's war work, and air raids.
