Australia Presents a Captured Field Gun to Dartford. September 1919

In recognition of Dartford`s hospitality to Australian troops, the No 3 Australian Army Auxiliary Hospital was in Dartford, the town was presented with a captured German field gun by the First Australian Imperial Force.

The presented gun, a 7.7cm Feldkanone 16, No 26755. (Australian No 7). This gun, along with another presented by the Royal West Kent Regiment, was scrapped in 1940.
