Lynsted Denehole

There is a lovely denehole (more properly called a chalkwell for the purists) at Lynsted in a line of trees. Since it is a bat hibernaculum, its location is restricted and it was grilled in1987 by Kent Underground Resarch Group. Access can be arranged via KURG when the bats are not in residence.
