Robert died the year before his father, Sir Orlando Humfreys (d 1737) who had inherited Barking Manor in Essex in 1735 from his father William, who had only purchased it in 1717. With Roberts being Orlando's only son the Manor was passed to Orlando's 2 daughters who then sold it 17 years later. There is a memorial (photo on line -type in Orlando Humfreys) which mentions Robert at Heaver - it's in Barking Church

Here Lyeth the Body of Robert Humfreys Lord of the Mannor of Heaver in the County of Kent Esq. only son and Heir of Sir Orlando Humfreys of Jenkins in ye County or Essex Bart. Who departed this life the 21st day of January 1736 in the 28th year of his age.
