News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

Just a heads up to let you know that my new book:- THE CHARTHAM BUS - Memoir of a Kent Independent - has just been released. ISBN 9781909091078. 48pp (A5) fully illustrated, etc. Gives the full story of this once independent service from Canterbury to St Augustine`s Hospital from the 1920s to its demise in 1974.
The cover price is £8.95 but I can extend a special offer to KHF members of only £6.50  (p&p included) for a short period.
An e-mail request to     caldicot15@btinternet.com   and the details of how to take advantage of this offer will be sent.
