The pub showing there was the White Hart, changed to Macawbers since changed again. The Gundulph was opposite more on the end of the bridge.
   
This is the bridge end right opposite it and if you examine the old photos you can see the other buildings behind match .

As the map says "The Gundulph" next to Horsewash Lane was the first building in the High Street in my 1965 Kelly`s as number 1 and City Cafe number 3

A couple of pictures showing the pub......demolished around 1967.

Got it. Definitely on the left hand side of the High St as you approached Corporation St after crossing the bridge. It used to have iron grills coming down from the ceiling right along the bars.
Probably to stop some of the blokes I went to school with who drank there (so did I sometimes)  from punching the bar staff. :-00

Surely it was on the other corner of Corporation Street, it's sign can be seen in the picture originally posted.
