Can anybody provide any information on the impressive 'colonial' wooden house which was at the top of the unmade road called Mount Pleasant, at the bottom of Chatham Hill? My great uncle rented the place during the 1960's. It had two very large rooms either side of the entrance door. The building was wooden and had a verandah at the front. The stone steps leading to the property are still there, but the building has long gone. Google Earth shows the property in existence in December 1960.
