Beach hut inscription
Dear all
Thought this may be of interest, apologies for the poor photograph!
The photo is of an inscription I found in one of the beach huts on Folkestone seafront (number 25). The photo has not come out too well but it reads "PRIVATE RGS, 10TH INFANTRY GREEN HOWARDS 1941                                         CD (presumably coastal defence )
There is a photograph in the book entitled "The Real Dads Army" which shows one of the huts converted into a strongpoint and I am guessing others were used as shelters or maybe temporary billets.
