My sincere apologies it is Alma Street, not Road.

Hello.
I knew someone who lived in Alma Road and they told me it was haunted. They used to see a tall person dressed in black looking out of their bedroom window towards the sea.The person`s dress was, and is, of somebody from the seventeenth century. They used to call him inky and, if their children were naughty, they told them inky would come to see them.

Conan is right about the first Photo.
I hadn't noticed the Chap wearing the Stove Pipe Top Hat. That dates the print considerably earlier than the other 2 photo post cards.

The last two photographs are probably, as grandarog says, probably around the early 19 hundreds but the first one being a print I would date a lot earlier. I have quite a few of these prints of various parts of Sheerness and Bluetown in my collection, all seemingly by the same company and would like to know more about them. I'll post them on a separate page.

Judging from other photos of similar ilk, I would say just prior to WW1, about 1908-1912.

With the recent posts about Alma Street in mind I thought these two pictures of Alma Road might be of interest

And a bonus print of Unity Street
