Hi Dave, I knew him insomuch as a health physics monitor it was part of my job to collect film badges on a monthly basis, this involved some interdepartmental liason within the nuclear complex, there were a number of recorders who shared an office in the complex , won't say I knew him well but I remember the name, along with Fred Longly, Charlie Boys, and a few other recorders.
To be honest, it's a very vague memory, as you say I think he moved to Plymouth. So sorry to hear of his passing, my condolences to his family.
Some time ago I tried to contact a few of the old 'maties' I worked with having a view to some sort of get together . I was shocked at the results, so many are no longer with us, so I gave up. But that's another story, all the best.

Hi All

I am new to the forum but have had a good look round.

I would like to find anyone who knew my Dad.He worked at the dockyard until it closed and then moved to Plymouth to be in the Dockyard there.

His name, David George Summers and I think he worked as a shipfitter/wright and a wage clerk.

Sadly he passed away last Tuesday and I just wanted to let people know.

Many thanks

Dave
