Royal Army Ordnance Corps Major R H Webb
I have two letters in my possession sent by a Major R H Webb stationed at HQ 6 Base Sub Area. I think this could be in North Africa or Palestine, but not sure. They were sent to a Gena Dawes of 2 Sussex Road, Ashford, Kent and are both dated July 1944.

I believe the R in his name might be Reg and Gena's name might be Jena.

My question is twofold. Firstly, does anybody recognise or know anything about either of these two individuals, I believe they were engaged, and secondly, does anyone know for sure where HQ 6 Base Sub Area was situated in 1944?

Thanks for any help on the topic.
