`The Chimney Boy` in Preston Street. They are still going strong.

The pub reverted to the name "The Limes" a couple of years ago in part of a serious drive to change the customer base.

It was opened as the Limes Hotel in 1864. It appears to have changed its name to the Station Hotel by 1871 (it can't be the Railway Hotel as that is in Preston not Faversham). But reverted to the Limes Hotel by the 1880s.

During work being carried out when it was a Sheperd Neame managed house in the 1970s a bricked up staicase was discovered which inspired the new name "The Chimney Boy."

way back in 1969 I used to go to Faversham folk club that met upstairs in a pub in Faversham,I always had to leave early due to the last train times to get a connection to the Island at Sittingbourne. Does anyone out there remember the club and if so can they please let me know the name of the pub it was held at.
