Cycling near Tonbridge.

While cycling from Chatham to Tonbridge , I looked up then I saw seven flying bombs in the sky,
at one time, all directed towards London. One was coming my way, then I heard the motor stop,
I froze for a minute, I threw the bike on the grass, then myself. As it hit the ground and blew up a quarter of a mile in FRONT of me. I never got to Tonbridge. I found out later, there were several sites in that part of France, launching them. This was 1944/45, near Tonbridge.
