News: “Over the graves of the Druids and under the wreck of Rome,
Rudely but surely they bedded the plinth of the days to come.
Behind the feet of the Legions and before the Norseman’s ire
Rudely but greatly begat they the framing of State and Shire
Rudely but deeply they laboured, and their labour stand till now.
If we trace on ancient headlands the twist of their eight-ox plough.”

That odd gable projecting forward a couple of houses along is definitely in both views, as are the various angles to the short terraces as the road bends ahead.

I had a look at Bush Road, and looking again I think you're right. There have been a lot of house modifications over the years (especially windows, doors, porches etc.) which can sometimes cause confusion. This seems to be the same view today:

I've seen this photo recently on another site, and believe it was identified as Bush Road, Cuxton. I don't know the area though so it may not be :)

This doesn't look like Cuxton Road in Strood, or any street I can find in Cuxton itself. I've had a search to see if there is a Cuxton Street anywhere else but have drawn a blank. Can anyone identify the location of this photograph?
