Possibly No. 1 (2, 3 etc.) Depot Royal Marines?  A (brief) Google reveals nothing to support this but it seems logical.

Royal Marines Abbreviations

Hi, does anyone know what DRM (think that what it says) stands for in a naval service & pension record from 1843 please? I am doing some family tree research and it says under the column "in which ship wounded and last served" what looks like 1 DRM (see attached) perhaps RM is Royal Marines but with old writing could be DRW or even Drill. Other entries for people on the same page have 1 DRM, 2 DRM, 3 DRM or an actual ship name so I am guessing he was shore based being at the end of 21 years of service and that it refers to a building perhaps? I know that he was a corporal in the Royal Marines and died of TB in 1844 in the Melville Hospital, Chatham. Suggestions much appreciated thanks.
