News: The modern name of Kent is derived from the Brythonic word kantos meaning "rim" or "border", or possibly from a homonymous word kanto "horn, hook"

Kent Pubs of Frederick Leney & Sons

My copy arrived today of this new book.  I would summarise by saying it is an excellent value book and it is very well printed and comprises over 70 pics of Kent Pubs, of what seems to be the 1920s era.  The reproduction and contrast are excellent and it is printed on good quality paper.  Annotation comprises the pub name and location only.  The book is well bound and presented.

An excellent effort all round, well done.  I shall enjoy a slower, more thorough examination over Christmas.

If other members have read it, what do you make of the posters that appear in many of the windows?
