Rochester Pier Needs You.

Dear Members,

I help manage Rochester Pier and we are working on improvements which includes an historic info plaque on the Pier.

It appears there is scant info on its history apart from its building in 1845 (?) and that's about it, if seems there are no records kept at the council and we think Rochester Bridge Trust initially paid for the construction and it had a big re-fit in 1998.

I am calling upon the expert knowledge of KHT members and their ability to seek out historical research where other cannot.

I would be immensely grateful to anyone who can provide any history of the pier, please?

Once we create a plaque, I'd be more than happy to put the name or names of the people or person who can give us a half decent history of the pier.

I look forward to hearing form someone

Many thanks

Admiral D
