There seems to be some kind of tank parked up in one of the bays behind the phantom too

I learnt to fly at Rochester in the late 80's and remember being shown an Aircraft in this location ( Lodge Hill ) I recall it being a Canberra ( 50's Bomber ) but agree this definatley looks like an F4..... No Google Earth in those pre- Internet days....Its amazing what you could find from 1000 ft above Medway....
Happy days....

Used for search training at Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal School (DEODS),  School is moving or has just moved so that may go too. The large circular pondsouth east of it is used for training divers

After seeing a link from the Strood caves thread I was panning around and saw this.....  Looks very much like an F-4 Phantom

Hi.

Did anyone spot the RAF Phantom? (Noisy American jet that overcomes the laws of aerodynamics through brute power, and leaves a great big dirty trail in its wake......luverly)

A couple of us were lucky enough to be part of a group who were given permission to look around these magazines today, access was only possible to a couple of buildings but we saw each magazine, training areas and the odd pillbox on our walk round!  It was a very long walk but worth it  :)

Decontamination building

Magazines

Original light recess

The trusses are actually holding the outside wall up  o:)

A big thank you to those that arranged this
