Wow that is clean.

If it's the right one this is what DOB says:

PILLBOX (VARIANT): S0001019
S edge of Royal Cinque Ports golf club.

Irregularly octagonal pillbox - one of the 8 faces contains the entrance; two have 2 embrasures at a normal height; and another has an embrasure, probably for the Boys anti-tank rifle, at a lower level. Octagonal pillbox, brick-shuttered, with the entrance in one of the angled corners. In the entrance some camouflage paint is still visible. 9ins square holes are at ground level in all walls

I have been informed that this a remnant from WW1 hence does not conform to any of the usual Types with which we are familiar? It is certainly very large for a WW2 pillbox? There was a large military presence around the Richborough Port complex during WW1.
