As I recall, wasn't there a rather.......shall we say saucy shop in the same parade, called "pillow talk"
Not that I ever frequented those sort of places, of course. :)

In the 70s I used to go to British Home Stores in Margate with my parents, this was situated at the far end of the High Street and we always had a cup tea + cakes in the upstairs restaurant.  What a view you had, sadly it is not a restruant anymore but part of a shop floor for its new owners Primark.  The only sign that this was once owned by BHS can be found in a passageway which runs on the outside of the building, this passage joins lower + upper streets as a short cut + there are several plaques on the wall saying this entire wall belongs to BHS.  Above the main entrance to Dreamland there was also a sea view cafe but never went in this one, sadly gone now too.





Dreamland Cafe in the interior picture you can see the small panel windows at the end, which you can see on the last picture of the outside.
